CoRAL is at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge AI technologies across natural language processing, computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Their mission is to develop advanced AI systems that excel in reasoning, controllability, and reliability, with a particular focus on navigating complex and structured data.

The current research focus of the CognItlab is to build automated systems (and to develop underlying methodologies and address associated challenges) that can understand text, images and videos. They then apply that understanding to various artificial intelligence, robotics and human-centered AI domains.

At ARC, they work at the intersection of NLP, CV, ML, and AI. Their focus is on AI system reasoning, controllability, and trustworthiness. Their work often takes inspiration from human cognition processes, such as abstraction, decomposition and analogy. Some of their topics include question-answering, planning, code and program generation and probability estimation.
